Bike skill courses at Llandegla

Bike skills courses

While we are waiting and hoping that TCC are successful in getting the rest of the money we need to build our own bike track, we are able to offer a limited number of bike skills courses to young people in Treuddyn.  This is because of funding from the WAG Youth Strategy Fund.

The courses will take place at Llandegla Bike Centre and will be led by fully qualified instructors from the centre. You can use one of their bikes if you wish or take your own.  You will spend the whole day there with lunch provided and be sent a dvd showing the progress you made!

Once we see the amount of interest there is, we will sort out the groups by age and skill.  It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or an expert. We will organise an all girls group if there is the demand.  We will aim to get a balance of skills, ages and genders.  If more young people apply than we have funding for, we will select by ‘names out of a hat’.  All successful applicants will also be expected to attend a bike maintenance course in the village hall.

You must live in Treuddyn and be aged between 8 and 21.  You will need parental consent if you are under 18.  The cost of the course for a full day (with lunch) will be £10.  (This normally costs £100).  To apply you will need to complete an application form downloadable below. Return this to Jenny Smith Preswylfa, Ffordd y Rhos, Treuddyn CH7 4NN or Carolyn Thomas Cartrefle, Corwen Road, Pontybodkin CH7 4TG
