Cycle Event coming through Treuddyn – Sunday 9th Aug

road cyclistsOn Sunday 9th Aug the Rise Above Cycle Sportive leaves Chester and 3000 cyclists will follow one of 3 routes (80km, 120km and 185km) in a personal time challenge. The routes have been designed in conjunction with Mark Cavendish from Team Sky. As well as the physical challenge of the event there is a fundraising elment with Help for Heroes and Right to Play being the official charities.

The 3 routes all start and end in Chester and each will bring them through the centre of Treuddyn.

The route through the village will bring the cyclists along Ffordd Nercwys, onto Ffordd Y Felin, turning into Ffordd Carreg Y Llech, across to Ffordd Y Llan, down to the Corwen Road (A5104)  and turning onto Ffordd Llanfynydd (A5101).

The event has a staggered start in Chester with racers departing from 7:30am to 9:30am so cyclists will be coming through over a long period.

Please be aware of the additional traffic and allow extra time if using any of these roads.
