Treuddyn Riders in Llandegla

Bob writes:

Fantastic day today, all the young people did really well.
The group  Simon and I took did about 22km, more than the Red trail at Llandegla as we did several bits two or three times. Simon took a small group down the new Black Parallel Universe while I sessioned some great Red sections with the less experienced riders. A long fun ride with some very tired riders at the end!

Ally and Karl’s younger and less experienced group did the Green and some games and also had some practice at leading the group too.  Ally reported back that they were fantastic and all worked really well together and were picking their own great stopping points etc which is want it is all about empowering them to get out in their own in time safely and with respect for other users and the environment.

Dave Pollard and Dave Hughes took a ‘mid’ group round the Blue and then did part of the Green and did some skills work.

From our point of view everyone did really well and were great to work with even when they were tired and had been riding for a while!

Hopefully they all enjoyed it too, they seemed to anyway!

Bob and Ali will be in Treuddyn on the weekend 9th/10th April if we can get the Treuddyn Riders  to come and play on the track while they go in the centre and go through all their books and get everyone signed off and up to date properly.

Again, please pass on to the parents that they were all really great to work with and even the unfit  and less experienced ones put 100% in to it and never moaned or were difficult.  A really fantastic group to work with!

Thanks everyone for making it go so well first time out, really well done!

Check out the Blog on the Campbell Coaching site for some photos and a write up of the day. Search on ‘Treuddyn’ to see other items.

If anyone has any photos of the course, please email them to me at jenny@smithsmj.net and I will put them on the web site.
