Gas will be coming to Treuddyn!

gasCarolyn  (County Councillor for Treuddyn) reports:

I spoke with the Housing Officer, Shelley Webber today and she said there is now enough interest from private residents for the gas to go ahead in Treuddyn and work is due to start in April this year.

The letter mentions another meeting to be held in January but Shelley is waiting for Wales & West Utilities to let her know when they are available so they can also attend the meeting and answer any questions.

After speaking with her today, she thinks it will probably be best to fix a date for the meeting early in February, it can then be included in the Treuddyn news.

It is proposed to bring the gas pipe along Ffordd y Bont so there will be as little disruption to traffic as possible.

I believe that the starting point for the works will be approximately by the noticeboard in Ffordd y Bont and then travel upwards.

I know that gas stops on the main Corwen road by the speed camera so I guess it will be in line with that along Ffordd y Bont.

Properties included in the proposed access area for gas will be:

those along Ffordd y Bont, in the village centre, Ffordd y Llan, Ffordd  Top y Rhos as far as the doctor’s surgery, including Well Street and Maes Glyndwr, as far as Carrreg y Llech farm, back along Ffordd y Rhos, including Hafan Deg, along Ffordd y Gilrhos, Cae Gwyddfid, Queen Street and all the cul-de-sacs off there, and the main road to include Brittania Terrrace.
