Womens Institute

The W.I. in Treuddyn was founded in March 1952 by a group of innovative and like minded women who created an opportunity to meet and expand their knowledge to better their lives. This is the ethos of our group today but now in a more modern way.

At each monthly meeting we have informative talks, demonstrations or entertainment appropriate to the time of year.

As a group we have a wealth of experience including practical skills like Working with Fabrics, Knitting and Crochet, Arts and Crafts and lets not forget Cookery and Jam Making.

We debate and discuss important resolutions like the Plight of Honey Bees and Stopping Violence against Women to name just a few.

We will welcome any new members anytime, but if you would like to have a Taster Session and then decide if the WI is for you then please come along and meet these Inspiring Women.

We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Hafan Deg Centre where a very warm welcome awaits you.
