Latest News

January – March 2021

We’re now in 2021 and still find ourselves in the Covid19 pandemic. Even though many have had the first vaccination, we still don’t know when we’ll have the opportunity to hold regular services in the chapel. Despite this, we are still very grateful to the Rev. Eirlys Gruffydd Evans and the Rev. Marc Morgan for their services via the internet every week. For those who do not possess a computer a printed copy can be obtained by contacting the Secretary, Maldwyn Roberts on 01352 771260.  This means that we still keep close contact with one another.

Our thoughts are with the ones who have not experienced good health over the past few months and we extend our best wishes to them all. We especially remember Eunice Griffiths, who has not enjoyed the best of health for quite some time, and who has now been in Wrexham Maelor Hospital for many weeks. We extend our warmest wishes to her and all the family at this very difficult time. We also send our best and warmest wishes for an early recovery to Eiddwen Jones who has recently received further treatment. Also, we remember Bronwen Gough, former member of Salem Chapel, Eryrys, who is currently undergoing treatment at Glan Clwyd Hospital. We wish her a full recovery.

We are very happy that our minister, the Rev. Eirlys Gruffydd Evans, has had a new hip and we hope that she is now pain free following the operation.

In relation to the virus, there is by now some hope on the horizon and hopefully things will improve over the next few months. In the meantime, we urge everyone to keep safe. We send our warmest wishes to all members and friends of the chapel, and hope it will not be too long before we can hold services in the chapel once again.
