Planning for the Play Area Development!

Thank you all for your support in letters and turning up for the photo shoot.  It was a hard battle.

We appear to  have won the first round and have achieved planning consent for the play area development including the bike track!!

It was pushed through today and is subject to some contraints. I hope that we will be able to overcome these final hurdles.

The next concern is to get the rest of the money we need to pay for the development.

That means we need success in the application for grant funding.  The decision on our application will be made by the ALSF in early October. The ALSF are the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund, who funded the outside of the village hall and the Youth Shelter.

Now that we have planning consent,  if we are unsuccessful with the ALSF application, we can submit an application to the BIG Lottery.

Then, all we can do is hope – but for the moment we can smile!

Thank you again to everyone!    We can be powerful when we pull together.
