Plans for the 2013 Treuddyn Festival just grow and grow …..!

bilingual posterThis year’s festival is sure to have something for everyone!

In addition to everything else on offer, we have just been asked to allocate one of the marqees to a wood turning demonstration! Proceeds from takings here will go to support Nightingale House Charity.

In other marquees there will be many other arts and crafts selling their wares. These include wooden toys, handbags, jewellery, glassware and cards .

This will be a fantastic opportunity to purchase unique and beautiful gifts (that you will not want to give away!) so make sure to bring a little extra cash with you if you can.

Scarecrow making comp 4Scarecrow competition After the success of last year’s scarecrows we will be repeating this event. (Photo from last year).

Teams of 4 (including at least 2 children) will choose a sealed envelope with a mask inside and be provided with a frame. The runner can run to collect one item of clothing a a time from a large selection.  They can also run to collect hay.  The scarecrow that is judged the most creative will win!

Make sure that you enter your team on the day! £3 per team. Winning team takes half of entry fees as prize (rest to Hall to cover expenses).

Football – we already have 8 teams signed up.

If you wish to take part, register your team by calling John on 01352 771093

Get your team together for the Tug of War – this will be organised by Alex who will be leading the  Fitness Class  starting in the Village Hall on 16th July. If you are not sure about Tug-of -war there will be other fun competitions – three legged race for fathers and sons etc etc

Street Dancing – Treuddyn dancers will give a demonstration of their skills and Laura is bringing a big group of other enthusiastic street-dancers from her studios to show us what they can do!

Breaking news about Karate! In addition to demonstrations of Zumba and street dancing Karate is coming to Treuddyn. Visiting Karate practitioners will demonstrate their arts and there will be the opportunity to take part with classes for both young people and adults starting in the Village Hall after the festival. Watch the website for details.

Request for help!

We rely on the Festival to help keep the village hall running for the year.

With the Festival getting bigger and better we need more helpers.

We need muscle to help put up the marquees on Friday 12th and helpers on the gates and for other duties on the day itself.

Just an hour of your time would really help our community effort.

If you can help please let Carolyn, Paula or any other TCA members know or call Jenny on  01352 7770765.

Lots of  fantastic stalls.

Children’s tent with all sorts of activities including circus skills workshop!

Pony Rides provided by Cae Hic Livery and Riding Centre.

Loads of fun.

Special feature this year is the Creepy Crawly Challenge and display. Do you have the nerve to enter the arena and met a very scary animal?

…… and much much more.

We are delighted that this year’s festival is again being sponsored by Crown Fuels Mold and also by Brian Williams with his  Spanish Villa in Calpe  and Four Girl Coach and Minibus Hire
