Ysgol Parc Y Llan School is found on Ffordd Y Llan in the village of Treuddyn and has been part of village life since we moved here from Coed Talon in 1992.
We are fortunate in that we have excellent facilities, including attractive outdoor areas. We are maintained by Flintshire County Council and we run the school through the medium of English. The Welsh language plays a major part in the life of our school and you will hear it spoken throughout the day here. This is so successful that we always do very well at Eisteddfodau competitions in the County and beyond. Children start here after their 3rd birthday and leave when they transfer to their chosen secondary school at 11 years of age. We also have a Breakfast Club on the campus and many families take advantage of this facility.
We follow the National Curriculum for Wales and also have some wonderful extra-curricular activities. Each child is individually encouraged and inspired to do their very best academically, in extra-curricular activities as well as in their own personal development. In addition, the children are actively involved in their learning and its developments.
At Ysgol Parc Y Llan School we offer out children an education that is caring, understanding as well as being academically challenging. We are extremely proud of our achievements and role in the local community. We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships throughout the school, high expectations, mutual trust and understanding.
Ysgol Parc Y Llan has an active parents association in the form of Friends of Parc Y Llan. It is a registered charity and parents liaise with the staff to raise funds for the enhancement of the children’s learning experiences.
